		<description>Germany certainly benefitted from economic aid from the USA in the post-war period, as did all of Western Europe. I agree that it&#039;s certainly no solution not to help Eastern European countries if the event that they should default; indeed this would make things worse for everyone, whether they be citizens of the contributing or recipient states. I just hope that the politicians of the mainstream parties take appropriate action to fully explain the nature of the economic situation and in so doing offset the risk of unscrupulous extremist parties capitalising on the public&#039;s confusion and frustration. 		<description>With respect to your last thought it is probably true that in times of need certain parties could benefit from it. But isn’t it always like that? Should we lose heart on it? Well, I don’t think so.

Apart from the economic aspects, especially Germany would isolate itself, if it wouldn’t help. And what about the efforts concerning the foreign policy of the past war period? 

I just think that we would rather play right into their hands if we would consider that fact as a reason not to help.</description>
